Hi, Flappy. Chapped lips are terrible to have. I'm sorry you're suffering with those. Blistex has a cream that's in a tube that's very good. It feels very cool on your lips, too. Also, just to going to the brass tacks of the matter, plain old Vaseline is probably your best answer. It should have those babies feeling better in a day (not healed, but my better). I hope they start feel better real soon.
First make sure you exfoliate by either using a little bit of olive oil and sugar and scrubbing your lips lightly or use Vaseline with sugar as well then remove with a towel and apply a lot of lip balm or even Vaseline to really reduce chapped lips make sure to do this before bed so that your lips have the whole night to get baby smooth! Hope this helped! (:
Use Vaseline as a base. Don't lick your lips. Keep your lips coated all the time. If you can, cover your lips with Vaseline and gauze at night before bed. Keep recoating with Vaseline and aloe. DON'T LICK YOUR LIPS EVER.
You need alovera based products or if they get bad & split & bleed then you need an antiseptic based product to heal them. working in air conditioned or heated premises can cause it as too lots of swimming can too. Use a good. lip gloss & repeat applications regulary throughout the day.
Blistex is my favorite medicated ointment. It soothes. They're correct it flares up in colder dry weather. Wearing a scarf to protect your face from the cold weather helps. Chap stick is good as well as burts bees. Don't lick your lips. And lip gloss will also help.
