I sometimes find that I can't go more than 3 hours without eating some sort of carbohydrates. Could this be a problem?

The kinds of carbs I'm referring to aren't the typical 'junk foods' that usually comes with the association of carbs. More along the lines of pasta, bread, snack pretzels, crackers, bagels, wheat-based cereal, etc. I'm also an athlete, and have practice anywhere from 2-4 hours a day.

See if you can switch to plant based carbs, fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes. The carbs from pasta, and snacks convert to sugar and you are left feeling sluggish, among other things.

Carbs are fuel for the body. As long as you are burning the calories at practice you're good.

Yeah, there seems to be no problem.
Also getting hung-up on it makes it more intense.
Your age is important too. You in growth age?
