Sell stuff on eBay .

I would like to sell my Iphone 5 on eBay . If I sold it $650 . Do i have to pay fees ? If yes then how much ?

Report as

If you sold the phone for $650, the following fees will occur: If you list your phone as an auction, you will pay 9% final value fee, which would be $58.50. If you list it at a fixed price, you will pay $3.50 + 5% of the selling price over $50, which would be $33.50. There also may be listing fees associated with your listing, which vary according to the listing style.

Thanks you ! How about if the item did not sell for about a week or the price low then i do not wanna sell . Would I have to pay fee?
Report as
If the listing runs its course and does not sell, usually a week, you only have to pay the listing fee, not the final value fee. If you list it at auction, you MUST sell it to the highest bidder, no matter what the price is. You should start the auction for the minimal amount you are prepared to sell it at. If you are adamant about selling it for $650, then I suggest that you have a fixed price listing at $650.

In order to sell on eBay, you are required to have a Paypal account also. You cannot accept cash or money orders.

Hi can you tell me why eBay does not let me sell more than 10 items for a moth ? If I want to sell more than ten what should I do . I know you know how ?
Report as
Once you establish good, successful selling habits, eBay will increase your allowable listings. It's a goofy rule, but it's a rule that you can't bypass. I was a seller long before most of the current policies were adopted so, the limit was not applicable to me. At any given time, I had well over 100 listings going on.

Wow ! Thank you . Good to know .

Hi have another question for you if you don might. The buyer has not paid after five days of purchase. Please tell me what to do. Thanks
Report as
If you haven't done so yet, email the buyer and ask when he is going to pay for his purchase. A polite, inquisitive email is all you need. If you get no satisfaction with your email, you can go to the Resolution Center which is under customer support at the top of the page and file a non-paying bidder claim. EBay will contact the buyer for you, if the buyer still doesn't pay, a Non Paying Bidder claim will be filed against him. If he gets a couple of those, he will get the boot. No one can force the buyer to pay, it's unfortunate but that's the way it is. I used to get buyers that don't pay all the time, it's just the cost of doing business on eBay. Your final value fees will be refunded to you and you will be able to relist the item for free.

Hi , me again. My item which has been sold for five days. On the top of the page say payment on pending . Can you tell me when will i ship the item?
And very down of the page say that mark as shipped. I do not know when is the time to ship it out. Please help! Thanks
Report as
When it says 'payment pending', it means that your buyer paid with an echeck through Paypal. It may take a few days to clear and you will be notified by Paypal. DO NOT ship until the payment has cleared in your Paypal account. If it's the iPhone that you sold, you MUST get signature confirmation when you ship it. Anything that has sold for $250 or more must have sig confirmation.

I got it , thanks you ;)

How about the item has not sold , do i have to paid any fees ? What would I do next if a item hasn't sold ?
Report as
If it doesn't sell, you only pay the original listing fee (if there was one) and eBay will let you relist it for free.

hi! long time no talk. just want to let you know that I have been sold 86 items for the last 3 months. I am so excited for what I am doing now. just wanted from you an advice . Should I open an eBay store or I just keep sell 100 items per month? which is better ? .one more question , are you a best ebay seller ?
Report as
Wow, 86 items in 3 months is awesome, good job. Give yourself some time before you open a store and when you feel comfortable selling and you're making enough money to cover the cost of a store, go for it.

I sold on eBay for about 11 years and stopped selling a few years ago. I'm retired now and just want to relax. Selling on eBay was one of the best things I ever did. I eventually started my own website and most of my loyal eBay buyers bought from the website.

Best of luck to you. Keep me posted.

From what I understand, you have to pay eBay fees no matter how much you sell the item for. I think the amount depends on how much you do sell it for.
