If by pills, you mean pills prescribed by a veterinarian, then you should hide it in their favorite food. My mom's daschund never liked pills but he did like cheese a lot. So she would put the pill in his cheese
I usually put them in his food or stick them in a piece of Hot Dog . They also make a product called Pill Pockets ! Just hide them in his food ! A little Cottage Cheese works good to stick them in his food ! I have a Hound Dog , so it doesn't take much of anything special to get him to eat them with his food .
shove it in bread with peanut butter or hold their mouth open, put the pill on the back of their tongue and hold their mouth closed while tilting their head up and stroking their neck until they swallow it
Practice opening the dogs mouth, without putting a pill in and rewarding him right after, once he gets used to it open his mouth and then hold his muzzle for a couple seconds, Then reward him. then giving him a pill when you open his mouth, holding his muzzle so he wont spit it out, once he swallows give him a treat. https://www.facebook.com/CertifiedDogTrainerPyle
Open the dogs mouth enough to set the pill on the back of the toung. If right handed use your 1st finger to gently push the pill way back. Quickly close his mouth & it should go down. Practice will make perfect. Remember to pull your finger out quick then rewward your pet with a sm bowl of vanilla yogert!
There are Greenie Pill Pockets and they are little hollow treats that have pockets on the inside and you can put the pill in and the dog will swallow it right up. You could also try putting the pills in a little plain yogurt or a very very TINY amount of vanilla ice cream.

Go with the Hotdog! My dog eats it up and doesn't realize. Unless you have a smart one that knows what to look for. Had a Shih Tzu that would take the food with her medication, she would then go in the other room and spit the pill out. We discovered she hid the pills in her cheek.
Take a glob of peanut butter, put the pill in the peanut butter. When the dog opens up to start licking the pb, place the pb on the roof of their mouth. They'll eat the pill along with the pb!! Works every time.
My dog refused to take his pills, so we put them inside half of a hot dog. He eventually figured it out, but it work for a long time! If that doesn't work, I would usually"hold him" so he couldn't escape, and I'd put it in his mouth. He couldn't spit it out, so he decided to swallow it. It works, and it doesn't harm the dog.
you can buy these little cesar things at most supermarkets dogs love it it kind of looks like a spread and dogs will do anything for it you can just put the pill in that they come in many different flavours.
