Call Capitol One and tell them your card was lost and that you dispute the charge on it . Then have them issue you a new card with a new number . That way no one can charge anymore because you have cancelled the numbers ! Be firm with them on the phone ! Cancel that card ASAP !
How long did you take to report it? And how do you not know if it was lost or if it was stolen? You can try to higher up the chain of command with Capitol One , call and talk to a supervisor and ask for an investigation?

Hi. You have a number of days to report it lost or stolen. Capital One knows this. I'm guessing this has happened in the last 30 days. Call the DMV and tell them your ID has been stolen or lost. They will put a trace on it if you peruse it. Any fraud that is happening on and or with your signature, or your pin, the bank and the DMV will be all over it. Identity theft and thieving of funds is a huge felony and should be stopped. CALL all the stops on this. Any store that you have signed on. The person who is attempting to be you can and will be stopped. I'm a little hot on this subject because it happened to me. I know you can do this. Don't give up. Have Capitol One send you or fax you a print out of your last 3 month transactions. See if there is an obscure place.
