"Hey Jude" makes me be on a high! (Especially when sung by a huge crowd. It's a rapture. (Though its begins as "sad song.") The other mood: no, it's not sadness at all. Simply, so moving that it makes me ALWAYS cry (though I'm a man): "Teardrops" from Womack and Womack, just like "Drive" by The Cars.
Well, "In my room" is my fave song, and it made me feel better because it reminded me that I was not the only one who felt that way, so in a round about way it made me feel better. A horse with no name makes me want to shoot myself because when I was in the hospital for a month as a kid, at night that is all they would play over the pa system. It was on a tape with other songs, they played the tape over and over and over and over and...well you get the idea.
