wind power

Mules, oxen, horses, via water, but there was never a real problem, they had back ups for their needs, & you'd be surprised at how little wind is required. Today the power generated is stored via batteries, & is efficient enough that they have power to sell to other electric providers

Windmills can't produce electricity without wind. You'll need a back up
Power source for those times of low or no winds.

When there is no wind, power is not generated. If a power back up system and equipments are linked to the windmill, they are able store excess electricity in batteries and one can use it when there is no wind.

The same way that an all sail boat will sail without wind, or the way your all gas auto runs when it is out of gas. It won't work when there is no wind.
