The best diet plan is a permanent change in your eating habits. "Diets" don't work because you're on one for a while, you lose weight, then you go back to what you were eating before & gain the weight right back. Exercise regularly, even a quick 20 minute walk every day helps a lot. Eat a healthy, sensible diet -- no "junk" food -- or, only a little "junk" once in a while. You should eat several small meals throughout the day, not one large one at dinner time. Instead of unhealthy snacks, eat raw veggies, like carrot & celery sticks or yogurt. Keep the fat content in your diet low, protein high and eat plenty of fruits & veggies. Avoid soda & other drinks (or snacks) with a lot of sugar in them, drink a lot of water instead. You will lose weight, and your overall health will improve, too. :)
The best way to lose weight and more importantly keep the pounds off is to change your habits. Snacking late at night especially on carbs makes your body store those carb snack as fat. It's ok to eat carbs but do it in the morning or daytime. Some people like to eat several small meals a day like 5+ small meals instead of 2 or 3 meals a day. Never starve yourself because your body will only put the pounds back on and often gain more weight than when you started. And the single most important thing is exercising on a regular basis. So to recap eat a healthy but nutritious diet. Snacking is ok but make healthy snack choices. Carbs are ok too but not at night. Lastly exercise. This is how you can lose weight and keep the weight off.
I have mentioned this once before. If a food looks tasty, don't eat it. If a food looks tasteless and unappetizing, go for it. If a drink looks like you just ground up your backyard grass, drink it. If it looks good and refreshing skip it.
