Since i am having the same problem, my family doctor has sent me to a neurologist. A neurologist can help you with many different things such as head and neck. He orders test like MRI’s, x-rays, and electric therapy. If you are experiencing problems then it would be good to see your doctor and they will help you find the specialist you need. Determining what tests to do is important in who you need to see. For me I have seen a therapist, chiropractor and now a neurologist. It is up to your regular doctor of who would be the best person to help you in your case. The body is really hard to diagnosis sometimes so my best answer is talk with your doctor and then have him or her help you find the best solution. There are so many different types of problems that the best thing to do is research and ask many questions so if you have to see a specialist your not getting to nervous.
Start with your primary care doc who will look at you globally to rule out medical possibilities given your history. Then that doc will treat you and refer you based upon your specific symtoms and history.
