My MMT Clinic has asked me if I'm interested in starting up and directing monthly or bi-weekly MA meetings. PLEASE read my addt'l details!
I've never visited an MA meeting... Is it the same format as NA/AA? I hope it's different.. I don't care for NA/AA. My primary questions are: #1 Can you help me figure out how to design the layout of the meetings? #2 Do you know where I can go online or which books I can look into to do the necessary research to prepare myself to take over these meetings? #3 Based on your own previous experiences with MA, can you give me advice and tips to help make sure my meetings are appealing to the clients and to ensure that they not only want to come back to the next meeting but that they truly get valuable information from each one? #4 Can you provide me with any information [that wasn't covered by my precious questions] that you think may be valuable to me right now when getting the meetings started?
