Can a terrarium be used as an aquarium?

so my friend had a snake cage terrarium and his snake grew out of it. i dont no the gallons but it is huge i am wondering if i can use it as an aquarium? it is in great condition.

Check to see if it's water tight. And don't fill it and leave it near anything of value; if it's not built to withstand the weight of being filled with water, it may burst rather than just leak. I would put down dry newspapers, set the terrarium on them, fill it with water, and wait a few days, maybe even a week. If after that time the newspapers were dry everywhere, I would take the chance.

Yes, but make sure you have a vent and everything else an aquarium would require. Fish need to breathe too! Good luck!

Hi and yes. Make sure if you are going to use it as an aquarium, you rinse it very well and let it air dry. Don't use Windex, the ammonia will leave residue and harm the fish. You can wipe it with newspaper (not shiny) or a clean white rag. But be really careful. Fish can be very temperamental when it comes to cleaning solutions. Good Luck!
