Does Ancestry.com cost money?

Someone told me it was 500 dollars, and you can look up as many families as you wanted for a year

It mentions a 14-day free trial, so at the end of that time, yes, it costs money. I checked Ancestry.com reviews on Google (something I always do before I use any unfamiliar site). There were several complaints that once they get your credit card number, they just keep on charging you and it's complicated to cancel. Many sites, not just Ancestry sites, are like that. So if they want your credit card number BEFORE the free trial, I wouldn't give it to them.
