Go get yourself some icecream and turn on the T.V. And find something to watch. Having the icecream and the T.V. Will distract you, good luck cheering up-and do me a favor, Smile.

I recommend to think about that he might of been suffering and that his in a better place now and that he will take care of you from where he is at....and try getting another pet

well you could get a baby puppy that looks just like your other dog and name it after timothy you could spend more time remembering the good times with timothy instead of the bad and the death of him he would want you to remember the good and all the fun times and be happy then be sad

I know positive reinforcement never works when you're getting over a death, it only make a you more depressed because despite being in a better place you can still never see them again. Just try to coast through it as best as you can, if you just don't have any other options than let it all out at once.

Think of the good times you had with TImothy and then think that he will go to a better place where he is taken good care of. Also Meditate for awhile to clear your mind of the troubling event. =)

It is very hard to go through what you have. Do you want someone to talk to about him? I am here and willing to talk. It will always be hard, but everyone has there time to go. Just one of the worst things you can do right now is get another pet. TRUST ME it makes it worse or even harder. You will always kinda dislike or even hate your new pet, because it feels like they replaced your Timothy. I can tell that you really cared about him, but do you really think he would want you to cry about him for this long, it is time to move on. NOT FORGET! You will never have to forget him, don't! Always keep him in your heart, and love them. But life goes on, hopefully he lived a full life! And enjoyed his time here. I lost a pet snake, Levi, I found him dead in his cage i cried the whole day and practically the whole week... then I relised that crying wasn't going to bring him back, I had to deal with it and move on to take care of my animals who where still alive.

I know it is hard and it hurts. Change up your routine so you are not doing the same things at the same time you used to, so you are not associating times with the care of your pet. Also maybe you should go rescue another pet. You can save a life, and it can help mend your heart. It won't replace your other pet, it will just make your heart grow so the break doesn't feel so big.

I still miss my dog Star, and it has been years. I do smile more when I think of her instead of cry, but it took time to get there. I also have two other dogs that love me and need me so I don't have time to cry.

I know how hard it is to lose your pet, and honestly the best answer is to get another pet to fill the empty space! I lost my dog and getting two cats helped the healing process so much!

I put my cats to sleep, May 3 2010 and July 22, 2012. I miss them both. I got them a week apart, late Dec 1994, and early Nov 1995. I moved from Rhode Island to Arizona in 2005 with Rusty, and flew home to get Lucky in Nov 2005. I have yet to get over their losses, not sure I ever will, totally. I know I will be with them again, some day. It does get easier with time. I hope this helps. I am so sorry for your loss.

If you need to think about him, remember crying is healthy. If you need to move on, think about how he had a great life with a family who loves him. If you want to feel like he's there, you can find a website that makes a stuffed animal that looks like him from a sent in picture. And remember being upset is only human. I hope you feel better.
