If you said torcher to prevent your question from getting deleted, that makes more sense. Ugh, rat torture was horrible. They tie you up, put a rat on the victim's stomach with a container over the rat. They tie the container so it won't move, and the rat desperately looks for a way out... and digs though the victim's stomach. It won't stop digging until it gets out, and the person dies. Other horrible things were breaking wheels, Judas cradle, sawing, head crushers, the rack, and the brazen bull.
I use to live I'm Germany and saw a museum for this and saw a few I rather not die from... First they had a metal thing going around the back of victims head and bolts which each day they would screw in a little bit at a time until u die another is they tie ur hands to a balcony and put a HUGE lead ball that slowly pulls u apart those looked really bad to me
medevil tourture aye? 1.being drawn and quartered. (rope tied 2 each arm and leg then they pull you apart in2 4 quarters) 2.the rack. same thing as quartered but ur torn in half. 3.they would chain u 2 a table, put a metal bucket or helmut on your bare stomach with a rat or 2 inside it. apply heat, making rats think fire and the rats go in2 survival mode and dig their way out, down through you. 4. put u in stocks and burn soles of feet (the worst pain! slap the bottom of ur own foot hard and see 4 urself!) 5. screw helmut. the term "putting the screws the him" derives from that tourture 6. they use 2 like 2 put things in the body (rectums) like red hot pokers (King Edward of Englnd aka Longshanks had a son Prince "I Cant remember His Name" the 3rd was gay. when his father the king died. He was crowned king but not long after, he was tourtured 2 death by having a red hot poker supossitory inserted) and a thing that looked like a pear. it had a screw on it that would be cranked open after inserted inside the victim. it was a favorite of the Spanish Inqusition. 7. hang the poor soul alive in a body shaped cage naked, with no food or water. left to die of starvation and have the ravens pluck ur eyes out and eat them. 8. burned alive at the stake. 9. boil u alive in oil 10. tie/chain u up in the forest and disembowl a person some so the intestins are on ground in front of u. u'll die a slow death but, worse thing is u could get 2 watch an animal eat ur guts rite infront of u untill u expire. theres more....look um up. bouna fortuna
Not sure if it's medieval but I read about how they used to force accused criminals to drink seemingly unlimited amounts of water until their stomach burst and they died. I also read how they would force you into a very cramped box, nail it shut, and leave you in the middle of nowhere until you starve to death.
Torture not torchure It was used early on as a legal method to gain a confession or to assure truth in testimony or to gain information from enemy combatants or to prove something else or to force youre will on others or simply as punishment. In ancient Rome if you were either the accused or a primary witness in a court case you were tortured first to make sure you were going to tell the truth. This is probably one of the main readons Jesus was scourged first before his trial. ***The Catholic Church tortured people for well over 100 years during the Inquisition to force compliance with Catholic laws from those who dared oppose them. This is what i would call the worst example of institutionalized, legalized torture in Medieval times. Innocent people horrifically brutalized because they didnt agree with the Catholic Church In the Salem witch trials in early America torture was used as a way to 'prove' the accused was a witch or not.
