Corn Snake definitely. a betta fish requires a lot of attention. you have to not only keep it in a single fish environment, but you have to buy special water for it and change it frequently, while they are beautiful fish, they're higher maintenance than that of a corn snake. not to mention life span. they range corns from 15-20 years, highest on record being 32 years old i believe. Bettas only a few years
Snake personally. But of course it depends. If your willing to spend a fair bit of money (I'm pretty sure snakes and their food can cost a lot but of course my friend has ten bazillion reptilians and in uni so...). However I believe snakes are easier to take care of cuz you only have to feed and clean the cage every so often. Beta fish don't really do much of anything and you have to feed them everyday. Personally I'd want a snake but a beta fish sounds like the kinda pet you'd want of you only want a half-hearted pet.
Depends on your living situation, roommates/family, etc. For me, I would be twisted and forced into the fish, though I prefer a snake. I prefer a snake because you have to take the time to "tame" or socialize them. Plus: you can hold them, they can attach themselves to you like a dog, sometimes they'll get so attached to you they follow you just like a dog would! My Ball Python follows me any time he's free-roaming my boyfriends house. I love it! Fish can't do that at all!
