so many people say rock music is dying because is not as popular as pop music but some feel that rick is going up again.

I think good music in general is dying, rock itself isn't

Dying, all the music thats get publicized is basically pop music.:/ Like Justin Beiber and One Direction....

I think it's dying. More people are getting into dubstep and all of that ridiculous techno music. I don't see the point of it at all.

I don't listen to much contemporary music. My perception is that it's all gone commercial. Everyone is too busy copying everyone else's style to do anything relevent and original. People these days are trying to be stars rather than musicians. Rock has lost its soul. I know there are probably exceptions to this but the whole trend disgusts me. I'll stick to the good stuff that was released 20 to 40 years ago.
