Charlie did not bring Algernon flowers in Flowers for Algernon. However, he requested Alice Kinnian to put some flowers on the graveyard. You can find the summary of this short story from http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/algernon/summary.html.

It happened differently then it is said above. Charlie brought flowers for Algernon to its birthday. He was asked why he thought that the mouse has birthday on that day. Then he asked Alice why she knew that Algernon didn't have.

My first helpful answer, it’s great, but unfortunately I can’t get any helpful answer to my question. So wouldn’t you help me? It was about that each websearch result containg „also himself/herself” is from the Bible, so it seems old-fashioned. But if suppose there is a room with blue tables and blue chairs inside, then how to say that the room is „also itself” blue?

And one more thing. I both have read the book and seen the movie entitled Charlie. Now I was thinking and I feel that it is so only in the movie. In the latter it is so, it's sure. Maybe no flower in the book.
