Sometimes, especially during the teen years, you have a spurt of uneven growth; your bones grow a little faster than the muscles attached to them and you get what's called "growing pains". But it should wear off; if it doesn't, if the pain continues for a couple months, I'd see a doctor. If it IS arthritis, the sooner you know, the sooner you can work against it. There are, besides pain meds, exercises to keep joints flexible.

How long has this been going on? Have you been exercising lately? If so, maybe you pulled a muscle in one of your legs and therefore standing hurts. This pain can actually last a while, depending on how severe the injury is. Or perhaps you fell asleep with one of your legs in a funny position. If it has been going on for a long time and the pain is getting any better, then you should definitely go see a doctor.
