How to overcome mental fear of doing a back handspring on grass?
A couple days ago I decided to take my skill of doing a back handspring on a low mattress from inside my house onto the grass outside. In a period of about forty mins, I went from doing them on plenty of pillows to doing it on a very thin mat. Each time I got more and more confident so i would remove a pillow until I suddenly pulled one off on the grass. To make sure it wasn't luck, I repeatedly did it back to back with no fear at all. I took a about a five min break afterwards to rest my shoulders and then returned to the grass and suddenly, a mental block hit me. Now I can't even bring myself to attempt one outside at all. Does anybody have some tips or advice to help get me back on the grass? I can still do one on a low mattress with no problem. It's only with grass that the fear comes?
Also, I'm self taught. I have no access to a spotter/coach, gym, or trampoline, just me and confidence.
