I get really dizzy, light headed and have blurry vision for about 5-20 seconds when I stand up after lying down for awhile... Why?

Any ideas why this could be?.

Anemia, blood pressure, vertigo are some possibilities.

Ahh, I had the same problem. You might need to get the iron count in your blood checked. If your iron is too low, you could have anemia.

It's a head rush, it's like pins and needs on your legs and arms but with your head. it's just the blood circulating through your system

It happens to everyone, once you lay down for a while, and when you get up really fast, you feel like passing out, just stay relaxed and the dizzy will go away.

Yah i am concerned though because It has been happening like every time I get up lately and I seem to have a 24/7 headache as well.

It can be the lack of blood to the brain, and if it keeps happening lately, than go to the doctors, but the dizziness goes away after 5 seconds so you shouldn't feel so scared :)

If you haven't eaten in a while. Happens to a lot of people.

It happens all day long after eating and before. I have had a constant headache and am finding it hard to focus on school. So I don't think it's only not eating.

It is from an orthostatic blood pressure change. Try not getting up so fast.

I have tried that but no matter how slow I sit up it always happens, so....

Maybe you should bring it up next time you see your physician.
