I'm wanting to go to Canada for a week in June. If I fly there, when do they check my passport?

Do they check it when I get off the plane in Canada? Or beforehand? Or?

When you check in to board your flight here, and again when you arrive there.

You really need the passport on your way back in to the United States but you can use it as ID when you are in Canada.

4 times! Out of each country and into each country. Have it available. Keep it with you while in Canada. Do not leave it in a hotel room.
