Yes, the big bang did create not only the earth, but our solar system. There is TONS and tons of evidence to prove it. But I guess if you read something else *cough cough* in a book written thousands of years ago that has no evidence what so ever then I guess you can believe that too

yes. there is abundant evidence in favor if the Big Bang. that's why it's a theory - because it's well corroborated by observation and experiment. the evidence is plenty: the cosmic background radiation, abundance of light elements, the expansion of the universe etc etc.
It's a theory, if it did take place, I believe there had to be a cause, I can't accept something from nothing. Because I can't comprehend a state of nothingness. To me there's always been something. I can't accept, effect without cause.
That is the term science uses to describe the evidence that the universe, including time, space, and physics, all had a beginning. Just as the Bible claimed thousands of years ago. Famed cosmologist Allan Sandage, awarded many prestigious honors in his field of astronomy, became a Christian at age 50 in part because of increasing evidence of a Creator. One piece of evidence was the Big Bang. He said it had to be supernatural because physics could not explain it. He basically admitted that science led him to the "First Event", but science is inadequate to explain the "First Cause."
