Cats only have one life but there's an American hang glider pilot named Nine Lives Lenehan who appears to have that many. His flight jacket has nine emblems sewn on it, each one representing a time when he should have been killed.
He earned one of them in Oz a few years ago when he flew toward an unusual cloud. It proved to be a whirlwind and drew him in. When his kite started breaking up he threw his parachute (you don't pull a rip cord when you'[re hang gliding, you have to throw the thing clear of the wing). It inflated all right but he didn't go down, he kept going UP.
When he finally made it to the ground his glider was a write-off but, at least, he got another tale of derring-do to tell.
No, they dont, i dont think cats have 9 lives at least... along with all these people. Cats arent super animals that can live forever pretty much, they just can stretch their pillars when falling or jumping from high standards to land in a great flexibility.
no but because they always land on their feet their lives are saved more than other animals. Example: a dog falls of the top of the house it will either die or be very injured. 90% of the time the cat will be fine.
Thats why everyone says they do because they survive more than most giving their life more chances.
