What was life like as a pilgrim boys compared to life for boys now?

Report as

Boys back in that time worked hard along side of their family's to survive. They had chores they had to do like farmers do now. Feed and take care of the animals, work in the fields, chop wood etc. Family was a huge part of everyday living as it was very hard back in those time. Kids today have alot more freedom and time to themselves. Chores are not anything like the hard work long ago that kids today do.

Well their TV time was minimal, video games were poor, horrible graphics. No phones made things hard, they had to actually yell upstairs to speak to their mothers. Gas prices were low, just hay and oats. They had respect for their elders, they had chores to do (& they did them) They hunted & trapped for their needs. When they needed something, they caught it, made it, or traded for it. Early to bed and early to rise. God was what brought them together, religion & freedom to worship was the main reason to brave the crossing. There focus was survival & if possible they tried to squeeze some fun in. Today kids are all about fun, & their parents try to squeeze some work out of them. Today kids have no respect for anything, not even their parents. The TV has replaced friends. You can't hunt because guns kill people. Back in the day allowance meant your folks allowed you to have dinner. The term baby daddy didn't exist, today it's the norm. Life was hard, today it's a breeze

They worked hard for everything they had. Something kids of today know nothing of.
