Can you straighten wet hair?

How about damp hair? :) Thanks

Don't straighten your hair while it's wet or damp. It dries it up and it can break off. Don't risk it! Just blow dry it or let it air dry. :)

Not without severely damaging your hair. Let it dry completely first!

They make hair straighteners specially designed to straighten wet hair.

I straighten my hair wet sometimes, and it's perfectly healthy.

Don't do it all the time though, that will damage it over a long period of time.

Yes, but don't. It will damage your hair! Wait until it dries or blow dry it, then straighten it.

No, I heard that if you straighten your hair while it is wet, it fries your hair which will leave it damaged. I would first dry it all the way and then use my straightner! :)

It can but it takes longer. And yes, you are damaging your hair... Your literally frying it.. Ever had a hot frying pan and put it in a sink full of cooler water and heard it sizzle and watched the steam rise?
Basically when you straighten your hair wet your doing the exact same thing. You will hear it sizzle and see a ton of steam!

If i were you i wouldnt do it, but thats your choice. I ruined my hair and had a million dead and split ends.

It only take a few minutes longer to dry your hair first!
Hope this helps :)
