Sorry man, but they're your parents. Being a minor kinda bends the rules a bit on rights, so as long as they aren't forcing you to eat feces or something crazy and stupid like that they're still OK under the Constitution, I believe. Also they'd probably just ground you if you pulled 1st Amendment on them.
no, no it is not, your parents have legal custody over you and can force you to go to church if they want. Quite simply, you live under their roof, and so you have to follow their rules, once you turn 18, you can choose to go or not go to church if you like, until then, your parents get to decide for you, as you are not at the lega age of majority, and so are not considered able to make adult decisions under the law.
seriously you can't take one hour out of your week to go to church and I am 14 and in the USA too plus they are your parents but once you turn 18 then they can't force you but they shouldn't have too...sorry man you got 4 more yrs
No. Kids do a raft of things against their will from making their bed to going to school. If they had a choice they would have stayed in their mother's womb. Once out, they can be hard to direct but that's what parents do. They have the rest of their lives to realize that their parents were right.
NOPE! You have to go if they tell you to. Besides you should enjoy church. It is good for you. When you are 18 you can leave your church but not yet. Why do you not want to go? Do you disagree with the teachings of this church or are you just lazy? Not trying to be nosey, just curious.
