SOME people use it because they don't understand the meaning of the word, they either don't know or don't care how it affects people, and/or they think it's cool. And then for some reason they can't figure out why I think they're not very smart when the majority of the words the use are disrespectful and don't even make sense when used repeatedly with other disrespectful words. Yeah. Some people are weird. >:/

People use it mostly because of anger. But for me, the ONLY time I do cuss is when someone is being EXTREMELY ignorant or disrespectful. If it's from their ignorance, I start to get frustrated, which it kinda makes it unfair for me because I'm getting mad over their stupidity, so I use it to make the other person mad so it balances out. The madder they get the more it makes me feel better. Kinda my way of doing justice. lol. But if it's from them being disrespectful it just comes from anger.
Also if they start to cuss at me I just laugh. lol.
Most people use abusive language due to their association - how they are influenced, some use it to project power against what they perceive as a threat or bully. Some feel t is the "way of the world" today. However, we are given counsel in respects to abusive speech in the Bible at Ephesians 4:31 -Let all malicious bitterness and anger and wrath and screaming and abusive speech be taken away from YOU along with all badness
We must also remember being influenced by the "wicked one" (Satan) also play a role in one choosing such language. (Revelation 12:9)
No matter how intelligent man gets he still is cursed with human nature, there are some that are capable of curbing abusive language, but are still found lacking in other areas. Whether its drugs or sex or lack of respect for others, that old nature will get you every time. In the book of Romans the 7th chapter, Paul explains that your nature causes you to do the things you hate, and wont be able to do the things you want to do. The only way to fight it is to pray a lot.
