Have you ever lost something and never found it?

On monday I lost my ipod touch 5g in school. In my second hour computer class I left it on a book next to me then all of a suuden it just disappeared. I looked everywhere for it, but unfortunately I had no luck. What makes matters worse is that I didn't even set up a passcode on it and I never set up the find my iphone app to where I'll be able to locate it. I should've did that but I didn't know this was going to happen. People were even telling me it could've been stolen, but it was sitting right in front of my face. Someone would have to have some major balls to steal it right in front of me. It's been missing for two days now, but I'm slowly getting over the fact that it might be gone. However I'm going to take this as a learning lesson. My parents said they'll buy me another one, but if I get a new one I'm not going to let anyone see it, I'm going to set up a passcode on it, and the find my iphone app. I would just like to know from you guys have you ever lost something or gotten something stolen and never found it? because I am still kinda hurt by this.

I mean, yes it's sad that you lost a very expensive object, but don't come on to a website (one that's supposed to just be for asking and answering questions) to gain sympathy for it. There are more things to dwell on like a failing or near failing class, missing homework, poverty, sickness, etc.

A set of keys. I had to have had them to get home and get into my house. I had to get copies made. The key ring upset me more than anything because someone had made it for me.

Yea it happen to me :( sometimes I lose something and when I buy a new one then in a week or less I find the old one I had...so weird :/

Yes.. in like the 6th grade I had $20 , and I had it in my little wallet. But then I took it out and put it in my pocket. When I left school last period, it wasn't in my pocket anymore. I never saw that $20 again.. :( . By the way, I have the pink iPod Touch 5g, I've dropped it around school without knowing it, but my friend would pick it up for me . Heh.. ***I also lost a bracelet once at my grandparent's once.. but then they moved out of that house, so it's gone forever.. ;(
