Go to the drugstore and ask the pharmacist where you can find a canker bandage--it's a small sort of bandaid you place over the canker sore (which is what it sounds like you have. Within a minute or so, it will stick to the sore and soothe and protect it until it heals. They work really well--I've used them myself (my dentist told me about them, and gave me a sample).

(superior labial frenulum) It should go away within 10 days. Definitely not uncommon. Used to be called a "canker sore."

Really? What causes it? Its not an STD or anything?

I don't know specifically what causes it. I would doubt its an STD. The reason I put the "10 day" comment in the answer is that if something goes away in your mouth in about 10 days, it is pretty much not serious.

Canker sores are not STDs! I didn't know the word canker sore was so uncommon! A canker sore is basically just a sore (usually a white lump that hurts) you get on your lips or just inside your mouth. It is a virus and can be spread by contact. They come and go a few times a year and last about a week. once you have the virus I think you have it for life though.

Its not a lump though. It litterally looks like a little pimple right on the little peice of skin connecting your upper lip to your upper gums. It wierd
