Touching Spirit Bear is a 2001 young adult novel written by the American author, Ben Mikaelsen. The book is about a troubled Minneapolis teen named Cole who completely changes after spending a year on an isolated southwestern Alaska island. I loved this book and so did my friends its a really good book to read anytime
It was followed by a sequel, called Ghost of Spirit Bear which illustrates Cole's return to Minneapolis, where his past has returned to haunt him

In 6th grade, we read a book called Sounder. It was really good. Then in the 7th ( this year) we read a book called Giver. Best book ever. If you do decide to read it, just ask any questions about it. It was sorta complicated. So if you don't understand, just leave me a comment. ;) Good luck.
The Hunger Games trilogy!! :) You can also try The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, The Slayer Chronicles, The Curse Workers series, and the I Am number 4 series. There are many more but I can't think of them right now... Anyway, have fun!! ;)
I'm not sure the name of the series, but the first book in this series is called Nightshade. The second book is called Wolfsbane, and I forgot the name if the other books! But it's a REALLY good series! It's about immortals, so I think you'd really like it!
I read the Hobbit. The Hunger Games is also amazing. there was another one liked..I think it was called something like..13 Reasons Why. Oh and there was one that won an award...I'll get back to you if I remember the name.
