Does the mommy pot belly pig also need iron during birth?

I know that the piglets need an iron supplement right away after birth, but should I also give it to the mom, or is she not prone to anemia? Any other useful tips? I've already given the shot, clipped teeth, and had them nurse and they're doing great! (: Thanks in advance.

Mommas of all species should get additional protein, as they are producing protein-rich milk.
