A "stopwatch" is the name of what you would use to time how long it takes to solve a Rubik's cube.

If you know the answer, with all due respect, why did you ask the question? My answer is not incorrect. Perhaps in the video you are watching a different type of stopwatch is being used however, I stand by my post. Enjoy your day.

First of all you are welcome. Second of all, you can see the man in the background holding a stopwatch. The time counter you see has a name on it. Google the name. I only think they are used in professional competitions however, I am not certain. When you google the name on the clock in front of him, the site will tell you what the purpose of that particular clock is for. Enjoy your weekend! = )

Thanks. Are you doing something professional for the record books or something? Believe it or not, I do think about the questions I respond to although it is not my "life", I enjoy helping when I can. You will need a professional "time counter" if you are doing something whereby the time has to be as accurate as it can.

No nothing official or something i just thought that if i wanted to measure accurately then what should I do

I understand now. Google professional time counters. You will see many options. I am glad we were able to straighten things out from the beginning. Again, have a wonderful weekend and I will give myself a mental star (laughing) = )

As far as can be established, the stopwatch used when trying to solve Rubik's cube is known by no special name; it is just called a stopwatch. The fastest time anyone has ever solved the cube was set on June 5, 1982 by Min Thai; he did it in 22.95 s.
