OK relax, this has happened to me and there's a perfectly logical explanation for it.

It's called sleep paralysis. Basically it's one of two things - you are dreaming that you're awake, or your mind has woken up just enough to register things around you, but not enough to start operating your body.

It can be very scary at first but you have to relax and just wait for it to pass. It happens to many people at one point or another. It's just one of those weird things that our brains do. You don't "have" anything and there's no particular reason it happened. It's not dangerous, and it may not ever happen again, so calm down hon. :)

Please call on Christ. Ask Him to protect you and if it happens again call Him to help you. He will make it stop if you're not just dreaming.

You mean you couldn't open our eyes? And you couldn't move also?

Sleep paralysis is really strange. I once woke up enough to even remember what my college dorm mate chose to wear that day, but had the strange sensation of trying to turn over in bed, feeling like I'm turning, but not moving.

That's what Quester2011 siad, sleep paralysis. I have experienced it some times. It's terrible. You need just to keep calm, after a while you'll either fall into a deeper stage of sleep or wake up.
Interesting though.

Ans sometimes you just think your're awake and know where you are, and after you really wake up, you see you are somewhere else. But still, you were awake and imprisoned in your body.

Ask Jesus to bring his peace and power to you and protect you. He will give you power to control that which is happening

Take some deep relaxing breaths. I believe the nightmare was or has caused a panic attack. Do your best to calm yourself. You will be ok. Discuss this with your parents. It's not uncommon for someone your age to experience this

night terrors and also - when you are almost asleep or almost awake your brain has your body go into something like a paralysis type state. That's why you felt as if you couldn't move/speak. Very scary but very normal. It is what keeps people from walking/talking during sleep. Unless you are a sleep walker/talker.

first off, it is nice to pray and all..... BUT you may need to see a sleep disorder clinic. OR you may need to see a counsellor to learn how to deal with this.

Calm down dude!, you just experimented a lucid dream (Sleep Paralysis).
This happens when you try to sleep but you brain still aware of whats going on around you.
The process to get into a lucid dream is quit awkward, I've passed trough the same.
You hear voices, see shadows in your room... but all is in your imagination. After voices and shadows, then you get conscious you still awake, then is when you try to move, but obviously you can't, this happens because as I said your brain stills aware, your body is asleep but not your brain. You can't move due to your body is not responding.

Its been said, when you're in a lucid dream, you soul can came out of your body, (you can see yourself laying on the bed, I know creepy!!) therefore you can move into your room, when you're not, well not actually you but your soul. People who practice this, assure after practicing this for a long time, they can even control they own dreams.

Thing is, what you experimented is just normal (Well depends on you own definition of normal). So calm down, and considerate your self privileged no all people can experiment Lucid dreams.

I know is not the best feeling in the world, but ho well.

You're very welcome iloveJACKHARRIES:
AlexMcKinney: Is not that easy.
1. You have to be really tired 2. When getting into sleep, and when you have that feeling you getting into sleep, try to open your eyes rapidly. instinctively you will try to get up the bed, you will not. 3. You'll start hearing voices, she shadows, see places you been before, and stuff. (once i heard my mom like if she was talking next to me, she was sleeping, it was around 12:30pm CT, try to not freak out) 4. When this happens, try like if was matter of life or death to get up the bed. Imagine a rope (the rope will be there, believe me. 5. If you success the Welcome to lucid dreams experience. (actually if you made it up to step 3)
notbob: I read some books about sleep, and dreaming experience.

You should probably talk to a doctor and pray. And relax. Where you stressed at the time? Because sometimes when I'm stressed I get a shocked/scared feeling.
