ADHD is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It's simply a condition, and while it may be inconvenient, it doesn't mean anything is "wrong with you" just like anxiety, depression, or bipolar don't mean something is "wrong with you."
Also means you are in the catagory of the top ten percent for IQ , ! also recognize you 'file and store your information differently' thus you will find that others figure out the problems in a differant way, usually coming up with the same answer'Drives me nuts!'!!!! Learn to embrace your differances and you will be surprised at the things your brain is capable of creating! and yes, there is also medication available to help you block out some of the excess noises so you can concentrate....also i must say life is never a dull moment married to someone with ADHD, but add a child with ADHD to the family and you are exhausted! But those children are very good at sports! intense and the release of all that energy gives then a chance to think clearer....Any way! Hope this helps!
Quite frankly, they are tossing that term around way too freely nowaday. If you are having problems in school or getting poor grades, it's nobody's fault - you have ADHD. Now before everybody piles on, this is a real disorder and there are medications that can help with it. They make you groggy and foggy headed, which doesn't accomplish much of anything but that's what doctors do - write a prescription and send you on your way. Children who are deemed to have that disorder would be better off getting tutors to help them with their studies 1-on-1 so the disorder can be worked around.

What ADHD means is that a student will have some issues learning in a conventional school setting. People with add and ADHD are different kinds of thinkers than those who do not have add or ADHD. Schools usually try to use multiple methods of delivering information to all the different kinds of learners in school but this does not always happen. Students with add/ADHD usually need medication and behavior modification in order to achieve success in the classroom. Nothing is wrong with a person who has add. In school, they might struggle in areas like reading and writing but they normally excel in areas like mathematics. Nothing is wrong with add/ADHD people. They have incredible powers of observation and abstract thinking, they just need a little help writing their English paper.
