I recently just got a new job in sales right out of college. Salary is $2000/M and 5% com on any amount of $15000/M. Does this seem fair?

Hi. It depends on what you're selling and where you live. I think it sounds like a good job. These days, be happy to have a job at all. Congratulations on the college and the job!

Yep. Sounds like a good job. If you can make sales. Your base salary is enough to let you live off it. the commission is the motivation to make real money. If you make the company money, then you get paid.

My husband and I were talking about commission and percentage of profit yesterday. "Money talks" and agree! It gives a person a lot more motivation.

Yep. My company is looking at hiring a guy at only commission. You sell, you make money.

Nope. I suggest staying home until you get a job befitting your excelsior being and your vast knowledge and experience. Or..... Go to work and PROVE yourself. Your diploma opened the door. It is up to YOU to see how far you get in the door.

Fair? did you accept the job and financial package. If yes it WAS fair! How do you define fair; to you or your employer. If it was not FAIR why would you accept the position.
