Well I got out of my shyness a little bit when I got grouped with these two kind girls in my History course. I had a big agenda that had a address section and I asked for their emails so I could email them. When I got around to emailing them, I sent them a little greeting message to get to know them better. I even help them out with group assignments in class. My school is quite big so i start off by talking to one person at a time and develope friendships. =)
The first step is to figure out what makes you feel shy. Secondly, build your self confidence by figuring out what you know or what you can do instead of fixation on how you look or sound. Start slowly by talking to and with bigger and bigger groups and as you get more used to it ba bam your not shy but seriously it's true I have experience if being shy and so does my brother but he hasn't gotten over it cuz he hasn't tried this but I tried it and eventually worked out
