If you had a cat diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the mouth, how long did he/she live after the diagnosis?
My cat (neutered male American short hair 12 years 10 months) had a squamous cell carcinoma tumor removed from his gums earlier this week. The articles I've read say 90% of cats in that situation will not survive a year. Other articles say the majority of cats will have 1 to 2 months left before the pain is bad enough to warrant euthanasia. Do you have first-hand experience?
