Can you safely hold a kitten after it opens its eyes fully

the kittens safety

Report as

Yes, hold gently, but sit on the -floor-while you pick one up and hold it. Kittens can be very squirmy, and you don't want to drop it. If you're already sitting on the floor, there's much less danger for the kitten.
-- If it gets too squirmy or starts mewing, just stroke it gently and put it -right- back with mom. You don't want to force it to stay in your hands, or the kitten will learn that being held is a scary thing, rather than a nice thing. Get the kittens used to being held in tiny steps. (And if mom cat gets fussed, just leave them all alone for a while. :) )
