Can you talk to a school counselor about getting a tutor. Do a search for spelling games and play each day.

I have one and I have tried that but the thing is I can't say them

You have a dictionary or spell check.? Big difference. A dictionary that you buy from a store has how to pronounce them at the beginning of each word. or i suppose you could buy rosetta stone program but those are very expensive compared to a dictionary. Can you ask someone to practice with you an hour every day?

Spell the words everyday and read over them every day.

Read a book. That is the best way. Look and pay attention to how the words are spelled. Yes, sometimes their are misprints in books sometimes... but for the most part they are edited quite well.

Hi Autum! I'm sorry people have made you feel bad. My daughter, an excellent student, was a terrible speller. Before spell check, I was the family dictionary. (Drove me nuts to get phone calls saying, "How do you spell,...?" Well, sometimes it was pretty fun!)

What worked for me was figuring out the root word within the word. Take the word "disenchantment." "Enchant" is the root word.

I also took the time to look at the word origin whenever I looked a word up in the dictionary. I soon found ways to relate words to one another. Plus, it's darn interesting to see how words evolve!

I also don't blindly follow spellcheck. That's like allowing your car GPS take you off a cliff! Take a bit of time to use a good old fashioned dictionary. They're kinda neat!

And, Neanderthal is absolutely right! Reading is one of the best ways to be a good speller!
