I think she COULD be a good candidate, but I think she is a "few stars short of a galaxy"...she is losing her mind like ALL the political figures are. She, like all politicians. need to find their ways again.

She wasn't viable the first time as Vp, as a presidential candidate she would hand the election to the dems

Palin is a nut case glory hog. And not all that bright. The last person we need anywhere near the most important position in America. That saying: you cant make a silk purse out of a pigs ear'? It applies to her. No matter how you dress her up shes still low class and has the IQ to match.

She will make a wonderful, caring, smart, strong, patriotic president. If not her then Dr. Ben Carson, Allen West, Rand Paul, the list goes on and on. There are some really great and smart conservative people out there that will get this country back at being number one in the world for freedom and opportunity. Don't forget to watch Sarah speak at CPAC today at noon eastern time. See how the people love her and listen to her speak of the greatness of America.

To be a viable candidate in the 21st century, one needs to be elected and served recently as either a senator, representative or Governor, served with distinction, and have the support of a majority of the party. Sarah Palin has served as a Governor, but not for a full term; this tends to work against her for further office.
Secondly, Sarah does not have the support of the majority of the party. She is not a "front runner" and to become one, she would need to be frequently asked to comment on political events. She does not appear as frequently as even Mitt Romney, who has all but disappeared from political life.
To cure this, I might recommend she seek election for her state's open Senate position, and serve a term. With a resume of Senate and Governor, and her conservative positions, she might have a chance to become the first elected woman president. But I think most people agree that her time has passed, and the torch is passed to people like Paul Ryan, Kelly Ayotte, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and the like. We have a strong field of candidates, and all we need is a ground game to get our voters out; if Romney wants to leave a legacy worthy of his money, he should fund a foundation to create such a ground game that would not leave 4 million people home and their votes uncast.

Not a chance, shiny.

The history of elections, like war, is full of novelty and copyists. Anything created by one group (and found effective) will be copied by the opposition in the next cycle. If not, they are not learning from history; the "ground game" employed by Dems left them winning, and the one used by Reps was a losing game. It has been pointed out several times that is the only lesson learned, as the Reps earned the majority of the independent vote yet still lost.

The best Palin can hope for at this point is to be an operative for the Republican Party. There are few things she does well, but one thing she can do is fire up her Tea Party base. But she would need to learn to work with the Republican Party leadership so her fire doesn't burn the more centrist candidates. I seriously doubt that she can do that since she has made it her life's goal to be all mavericky ya know..
