I'm curious :)

We can't see atoms because they are to small for any wavelength to hit them. You see the colour of whatever the object doesn't absorb, that's why leaves are green, water is blue, and your pen ink is black

Black absorbs no color and white absorbs them all right?
Report as
Other way around. This is why black heats up in sunlight more than white; it absorbs much more of the light, slowing it down until it becomes heat.

white is every color. black is the absence of color.
Report as
Yes, because black reflects NO color. We only see the color that is reflected. White reflects ALL the colors.

In a spectrum. Light. No light no colors.

I don't know if this helps but a teacher of mine once told me that a color is every other color than the color you see. For example the color blue is every other color but blue.

that's because it absorbs every color but the one you see and that gets reflected back to your eyes. Just wanted to add that in there :)

They belong in the visible part of the light spectrum or what normal people call the rainbow (which is just light)

The colors that's there reflects the object, while the other colors are absorbing it. The light is actually giving you all the colors of the rainbow, but the absorbed ones are not seen, if that makes any sense.

No, colors are an illusion.

colors exist because different materials absorb and reflect electromagnetic waves of different wavelengths, but most importantly emotions.

colors are just an illusion by the brain, just search up Vsauce's video "is your red the same as mine?" on youtube
