Both the afflictor and the afflicted in any given situation need prayers. The afflicted person will need spiritual support to assist in the healing process. The afflictor, on the other hand, will need future guidance to prevent a repetition of wrong doing.
Why should it be "more?" What if u had a child who was the afflictor? Would u want him to be restored? Ans what if u had a child who was afflicted? Would u want him to be restored? We should show love and grace towards all.
I pray more for afflicted. We are mainly the ones Christ came for to begin with, and will be again. I do pray for my enemies as well. That they find Christ and repent. Tho I don't believe it will happen. Sad.
It was during the reign of Nero that Paul penned the words, "First, I tell you to pray for all people, asking God for what they need and being thankful to him. Pray for rulers and for all who have authority so that we can have quiet and peaceful lives full of worship and respect for God. This is good, and it pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to know the truth." (1 Timothy 2:1-4 NCV). The great persecutor of Christians, Nero, and we are to pray for him? Yes. Pray, so that we may lead quiet and peaceful lives of worship and respect for God. Such prayer pleases God.
