I have brown hair as well, but my eyes are also brown. (You did not mention what color your eyes are.) I have two different "looks" that I alternate between. 1. A champagne color on the lids, a smokey topaz on the outer crease of the eyes, and then a shimmery white on the inner corners of the eyes. 2. A purplish/goldish color on the lids with a shimmery white on the inner corners of the eyes. I'm not an expert or anything, but I like both looks...simple and easy as well. If you have brown eyes, then maybe this might help. If you do not, you could still try it to see how it might look. (Both looks have a goldish tone to them...so most likely gold is good.)
Yes & if you blend another color through it like Green for St. Patrick's day today or even a brown or mauve then it will soften the edges & reflect better off your eyelid & under your brow. Years ago there was a makeup brand that brought out a coco simmer that had brown eyeshadow with gold through it. I think it was maxfactor in the seventies. I use to wear it all the time. I'm a brunette with dark skin.
