How long do two canaries take to get used to staying in the same cage ?

i had them in separate cages and i thought it was time to put them in one cage and they are opening their mouths and shaking their tales at each other is that bad ?

I'd give 'em a week. But what do I know... I've never had birds but I am good with other animals maybe I'm right. oh by the way. for the future you used the wrong word there. it's not Tales its tails. cause otherwise it means they were shaking stories at eachother and I'm sure that's not what you meant.....

On average, they might take at least 2 weeks or less to get used to staying together in the same cage. Opening their mouths and shaking their heads is not bad, it may be their way of communicating.

They are fighting for domain ownership. The stronger one will win the better location, and the weaker one will spend it's remaining days in fear. That's nature.
