Give your dog Pedialyte instead of water. It will help.

Ask your vet. They will know what's best for your dog specifically.

Hmmm...my dog is sick so I took him to the vet...who TOLD me what to do. But I think I will ignore this medical advice which I paid for and ask random strangers age 13 and up on a Q&A site for help instead.

Please for the sake of this poor dog, do what the vet said. If he said to up the electrolytes he also told you HOW to do it.

Gatorade & water alternate. We always kept Gatorade in the office, it has the electrolytes it needs, not too much because its high in sodium.
