i disagree with some of these answers meat is amazing for dogs putting them on a raw diet is the best thing you can do for your dog especially when they get older they get shinier coats more energy etc. bones are also great for recreational purposes just not chicken bones because dogs king of swallow them then they can break inside the dogs oesophagus and puncture his digestive system. besides for chocolate never give him grapes, garlic, or onions.

Coffee, it can cause seizures. (Worse than chocolate. P.S. Chocolate isn't good for them, but it wont kill them unless the have an overly large dose. Even then it may not affect them at all.) Also, raw diets are completely safe for dogs, along with bones from chicken and pork. (My dog eats them all. As long as your dog chews them and doesn't try swallowing them whole.) I would only say raw is not safe if your using meat from a grocery store. But if you raise your own and butcher then its is safe. If getting from store cook it first. But raw diet is natural, its basically what they would be eating if they were in the wild. Most commercial dog foods are not safe for dogs to eat, due to preservatives and additives used in them. Especially soy, lots of dogs have soy allergies.
