When was the first mention of the church in the bible?

Report as

JESUS first mentions HIS CHURCH when he is asking his disciples ..."Whom do men say that I the Son of Man am?" Peter responds ..."thou art the CHRIST, the Son of the Living GOD!" JESUS says to Peter..."Flesh and blood has not revealed that to thee, but my FATHER which is in Heaven. And I say unto you, thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my CHURCH; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:13-18
