It wouldn't be easy ! It would depend on how your Doctor filled out the forms . If he feels and says you can't work anymore , then you have a shot . I had to get a Lawyer to help me with mine as they didn't know what Meniere's Disease was . They don't charge you and only take a percentage of your award ! The lawyer will send a questionnaire to your Doctor . You might talk to a lawyer first to see if your case is viable . If he takes the case , then he will get it for you .
Very likely. Your doctor will provide an evaluation of whether you are physically capable of working. I believe that includes changing careers, not just evaluating if you can work construction. So they may determine you ineligible because you could work a desk job. Anyways, your doctor would say you're incapable of work, submit the papers, and you would probably need a notary or someone to help you file the papers.
BTW, if you're illiterate, how can you read what's on this website?
sorry to hear of your health issue. you will not qualify based on being illiterate, you may because of the pvd. if it prevents you from doing any type of work at all including working a job other than construction, such as delivering newspapers fast food work ect..socialsecurity is not that easy to qualify for, from what i understand most people usually get declined and have to appeal with the help of an attorney. this process may take several years in which you will have no income at all. you must be unable and out of work for at least6 months before you could even apply. i would dont know very much about pvd, but if you are able to do any work i would advise you to keep on doing so. ss seems like a last resort when all else is impossible. best wishes to you .
Seek advice from a qualified social security lawyer. The recent changes to the disability laws have made it nearly impossible to get disability WITHOUT a lawyer, so start there first. If you have solid medical documentation, you should have no problem if your lawyer takes the case. Good luck. And just for a point, use a lawyer that only gets paid if they WIN your case for you, sadly some now try to charge in either instance.
