Which is better, the on-road examination or the 15 day suspension?

Report as

The 15 day suspension is better than the on-road examination because the record will reflect 5 points upon completion of the suspension, and restoration of the license. The on-road examination will involve knowledge of safe driving practices, departmental sanctions and related safety issues. Check with your local DMV offices for more details.

a speeding ticket...5 points. i looked up some information stating options for when i go to the court hearing, and they mentioned that those would be what I am looking at. I'm not sure which one is better...obviously both are consequences and not fun but i am wondering if it is more beneficial for insurance if any points will be reduced for doing the examination, perhaps.

Oh, ok... Well maybe I shouldn't have responded at all because I don't really know which is better. I've never had a speeding ticket but I've been ticketed for other things.. Each of the two tickets were 3 points each and within a couple months of each other.. In the state of PA you can have 5 points before they make you take a test to determine whether or not you get to keep your license, so my two tickets took me to 6 points and I had to take the test. It wasn't hard, i passed, but it was very nerve racking. It definitely taught me a lesson. So whatever they do to ya, good luck and drive safe!
