It depends on the salsa. Canned salsas likely have a lot of added salt and sugar in them, so no not good. Homemade salsa that is mostly chopped tomato and some spices will be OK. But it's kinda just a snack, not really a meal.
As said; homemade good and good for you! If you're not a food prepper and don't feel up to making from scratch, you can still make bottled Salsa somewhat healthier and better tasting by simply chopping up a bunch of tomatoes and adding to store bought. Just remember it's still very high in Sodium, Sugar and other additives so try not to overindulge!:-).
Its healthy unless you have an ULCER or GASTRITIS, anything that will upset your stomach anything you eat that has acidic substances on their organic composition will make your condition worse, and for all of you that do not have this problem, gulp it down and enjoy, specially with SALSA made with char-grilled (charbroiled) tomatoes, skin a bit burned a plus. trust me!! YUM YUM!!
